Hours: 40 hours worked flexibly over 5 to 6 days per week
Location: Wydale, Brompton-by-Sawdon (between Pickering and Scarborough)
We have a fantastic opportunity for somebody to join our prayerful community as a key member of the leadership team shaping the future of this Retreat and Conference Centre.
Hospitality and the sharing of food are a vital part of daily life at Wydale. We are currently seeking to develop the catering and the new position of Chef Manager will play a key role in this - including menu development, costing and sourcing – contributing to the bigger picture as we realise our vision for the Hall.
You will showcase your talents by leading and managing a small catering team, including developing staff and being responsible for health and safety and food hygiene. This is a hands-on role with the majority of time spent in the kitchen.
You will have a passion for good hospitality and a flair for simple food cooked well, a strong track record in a senior catering position and be a good cook in your own right. You will have a creative approach and proven experience in menu development, and the ability to lead, manage and develop others with a practical and flexible approach. While not necessarily a practising Anglican, you will be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Wydale and willing to make a broader contribution to our community.
