Following our well-received CARM retreats in recent years, the visual art of writing is the subject of our 2019 retreat. Calligraphers at all levels of competence are welcome. The tutor will offer basic instruction for those wholly new to the subject, advice and guidance to those who have some knowledge and experienced calligraphers the opportunity to continue with on-going projects.

 Roger Clifton After working as a chartered accountant, Roger spent thirty five years in Anglican parish ministry. His final post was as team rector of a market town and its surrounding villages in Wiltshire, before he retired to Bath in 2010. He has been involved with CARM since its earliest days, and his interests include painting, cycling and mountain walking.

Peter Walter is a retired teacher who has practised Calligraphy for 25 years and has been a CARM tutor since 2002. Calligraphers at all levels from complete beginners to highly experienced are welcome on his retreats.
