We were delighted to welcome a group of over 100 18-30 year olds from The Belfrey in York for the weekend 9-11 February 2018. It was wonderful to see the hall filled with young people worshiping and learning more about living the Christian life. They enjoyed talks from Revds Ben Doolan and Mathew Porter, seminars on Worship and Evangelism and lots of fun social time together. The Hall was full!
Wanted full-time post: Catering Manager
Would you like to work at Wydale?
We are looking for someone to join our Leadership Team and head up our catering operations. Come and be part of our prayerful community here.
Hours: 40 hours worked flexibly over 5 to 6 days per week
Location: Wydale, Brompton-by-Sawdon (between Pickering and Scarborough)
We have a fantastic opportunity for somebody to join our prayerful community as a key member of the leadership team shaping the future of this Retreat and Conference Centre.
Hospitality and the sharing of food are a vital part of daily life at Wydale. We are currently seeking to develop the catering and the new position of Catering Manager will play a key role in this - including menu development, costing and sourcing – contributing to the bigger picture as we realise our vision for the Hall.
You will showcase your talents by leading and managing a small catering team, including developing staff and being responsible for health and safety and food hygiene. This is a hands-on role with the majority of time spent in the kitchen.
You will have a passion for good hospitality and a flair for simple food cooked well, a strong track record in a senior catering position and be a good cook in your own right. You will have a creative approach and proven experience in menu development, and the ability to lead, manage and develop others with a practical and flexible approach. While not necessarily a practising Anglican, you will be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Wydale and willing to make a broader contribution to our community.
