Many people come to Wydale on individual retreats throughout the year; however, it is rare that we are able to have the house in silence/ Over recent years we have established a pattern of dedicating space in our programme in the winter and in the summer where individuals can come, receive guidance from an experienced spiritual director and meet with God in the stillness. Although we can’t guarantee complete silence across the site (the birds and the sheep can all be quite chatty and other parts of Wydale may be used by others) this retreat offers the opportunity to focus on God without the need to interact with other retreatants.
